Dear David,
Wellbeing Matters has become my new bible. Here is the reason why. As a teacher and a person always keen and interested to teach healthy choices to my students I have found the layout/presentation of the information very clear and easy to read.......perfect font size....love the spirex nature of the binding.....don't much like traditional books. Also believe your summary at the end of each chapter makes for a terrific re-hash and consolidation. Your references to your own personal life's journey and step son's issues make it relevant and believable. You show that your research comes from indepth knowledge and thorough investigation and you constantly refer to website addresses (eg: Dr Abram Hoffer) and the reasons why the research is to be believed.......... that is EVIDENCE BASED. Like you I need to: feel see taste and totally be convinced by a theory to want to try it myself.......all of your points are practical and possible. I especially enjoyed your chapter/research on water and water types/filters etc. I drink a lot of water as I have never drunk tea or coffee ever.....so this really impressed me.
I am also a step by step methodical person......hence your style suits me well and I find the organisational structure of your book perfect.....with reference to other information in chapters past and future.
I also love the exercises that you have presented....again totally practical and simple language.
The SIMPLICITY is the KEY I believe - user friendly and applicable to everyone and anyone.
In conclusion......as a person who believes WISDOM (via personal experience) should never be lost.....I believe you have the perfect book that is full of information that you have learnt and gained through your direct personal experience and it covers the four relms of wellbeing....none of those in isolation.....with the integration to work well together. I really enjoyed your chapter on understanding the mind...as I have done a lot of work on NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) and you have covered it so well with tremendous examples....that I could relate to.
Thank you also for your Appendix 1 2 and 3.......I am using them already.
I hope this feedback is helpful.
Regards DEBBIE
